Driving down to Virgina St to Downtown Reno

1st thing check in our hotel and try have our lunch at the famous Mels burger.

Walk around the street, alittle remind me of Las Vegas downtown but is a smaller verison.
Reno is famous for the signboard " The Biggest Little City in the world". funny~!~ lolx

Last day check out from Vegas Nellis Airforce Base.

Went into their Commissary, is 4times bigger than ours, there is 20 lanes cashiers.

There is even a sushi bar inside.
Their BX is also 4times bigger, with a big food court.
Approaching world famous AREA51 - where Aliens used to be found there.
40 miles to and fro inside...

Almost want to give up finding, not even any car driving pass us. Driving in deep enough, finally reach...

Saw this wide body, with air suspension, air brush with 20" rims outside my hotel carpark.

My favourite hotel of all strips is Wynn at Encore hotel. Open less than a year. Spend 1 night playing my favourite jackpot machine "Wizard of Oz" and accumulate breakfast buffet for 2. There is an old man beside me won 1kUSD on that game.

Driving from Los Angeles to Las vegas is abt 4hrs. Along the way to LV, is all desert, weather is really hot.

Driving pass one of LV factory outlet.

Yeah, finally we can see we are reaching Nevada. Speed up.......

Las vegas China Town, have a dinner there, and bought ourself a box of mooncake.

driving along the strips is really caught up in the jam. Prefer to walk or take bus.
The bus is $7 for unlimited ride along the Vegas strips.

'ShowCase' building, with M&M and coka-cola store. parking is $3 per entry after 5pm if im not wrong.

This 4 story of M&M store is really huge, full of M&M merchandise.

Day4 in San diego, LEGOLand

Went to LEGOland in san diego, drove abt 3hrs along the highway. The traffic is bad, if not will be reach in 2hrs. Entrance is 50usd for military, public is 60+ if im not wrong.

Volvo sponsor for this park, that is why volvo driver got VIP parking. oh ya, parking is $12.

Day 3 in LA disney land

Day 3 drove to Disney Land, 30mins from my hotel. Disney land entrance fee is 95usd for 3day hooper, meaning u can go to the California adventure theme park and disneyland. Every ride in both parks are free, but the queue is est. 30-60min wait... will make u demoralise.

This is not kellogs, is winnie the pooh and tiger... woo hoo woo hoo.. too bad yee-orh went to the restroom. haa..

This is disney's tram ride bring u to other stations.

just nice posing infront of mickey toon cityhall, goofy and pluto came out, alot of kids running after them as usual.

queue 30mins to take picture with minnie mouse. she is just taking outside of her house with a long queue u wont miss. And mickey is just lucky inside his house when i was there.

Inside California adventure, is just located beside disney land.

Watching not 3D but 4D movie, they always use moving vibrating chairs, spray water, n air vent below ya legs for special effect.

wait till 9.30pm for finale disney's fire works. Its a must watch if u go to any disney land. Look peterpan's tinkerbell is flying, they have music and story line during the fireworks. much more better than sg fire works. Dont know why people is coming in so late night to watch the fire works everynight.

Day 2 LA - unverisal studio and hollywood blvd

2nd day in LA, went to unverisal studio, abt 20mins drive from my hotel. Lucky I already bought the tickets, so no need to queue to get the tickets. Is a thursday, and is still very crowded. 50Usd per tickets (military price), normal price ard 65usd.

Travel 1 hr 30min about 70miles to Idaho Twinfall last sat, to visit the famous twinfall's waterfall, the water fall is damn hugh... very cold weather on that day.

The waterfall was formed as long as 140yrs ago.
climb up to one of the cliff, is really tall, n no barricade, quite dangerous.

We took behind the waterfall, cool rite..

We ended our day at a nearby twinfall shopping mall, magicvalley mall for a late lunch and we parted, travel 70miles back home again.

my wardrobe, but not enough hangers

masterbedroom, just bought queensize bed for 300.

my kitchen already come with stove, bought a mircowave 55, rice cooker 35. my cosy living room, wahaha.. bought the 2nd hand sofa for 145, deliverly 20, sofa cover 140(70each), cover is almost same price as the sofa. but ok la, at least is a 5seater sofa.

tv 32" sony bravia L series for 600, tv receiption antenna 35. stool 17, tv console 49, coffee table 30 and 7 pair curtains for 82 all from walmart. All price have not include US sales tax. haiz..

my garage, my car dodge stratus bought for 9.3k, ex rite, 2006, 40k miles milage.

Today morning, set off at 8am, went for jack in the box for breakfast, then sit in 3hr drive to osage factory outlet, finally is time to outlet shopping... on our way, we met snow, n is a heavy snow lo.. Saw some accident n car skid at the expressway side.. danerous to drive on snow also..

we reach abt 12.30pm, tot we can shop till crazy. went to few outlet, all the shops closed at 3pm due to bad weather sigh... hard to walk around also, cos of strong wind n strong snow.

bought 2 coach, guess hw much, is dirt cheap. haa..

my arrival to st louis

yestday i missed my flight, cos my flight at japan delay, then miss the domestic flight to st louis, but i already check in my luggage.
thus i cant get back my luggage for 1day, not sure isit in chicago or st louis.
my flight is really v long, 1st flight to japan is 6hrs, then 3hrs stay at japan airport for transit, then 11hrs flight to chicago.
never been to japan, but at least step on japan soil n eat n shop there haa..

This ramen cost me abt 1300yen, abt $22 wtf. can see my name on the credit card on the japanese receipt.1 toy shop
PSP n wii, PSP sell abt $400, too ex, but is purly make in japan sia.

then we claim 1 nite stay at chicago. still wearing the same underwear, cb sian.

today morning took a 1hr domestic flight to st louis, some screw up on my luggage again.
but after return from the walmart, saw my luggage arrived in the lobby. very happy haha..

the weather here is farking cold, 3degree, can see the snow on the road. but lucky now no snow.

Sunday, went to sentosa for fish reflexology spa, travel there $2 per car and $2 per person, carpark was $1 per entry, wah total $7. Then i park at beach station, took a bus to underwater world, n i actually miss the stop, the bus took me 1 round knn. Look at the taifeng has cause the bikes n trees to fallen. carry an umbrella also will spoil lo.

took their MRT, look at the word, they spell *clear wrongly. OMG their english cmi.took outside my hotel, call *shan de, quite famous i guess, 4 star hotel. met with the asian badminton tour here in taipei, got singapore players also. met a few players during breakfast.
Another ghost town, this is another famous night market, but met with tai feng, tycoon. All shops r closed. not even a single soul. got la, 1 or 2 shop open, but WTF ? who will shop?

finally saw 1 beef noodle store open, it was on the main street. not bad , quite tasty n price reasonable.
Went to one of the *ming ge chan ting, there is live band in the restaurant /pub in 西门町 . This is rather ex, 1000+NT, abt $45 2 pax for the full meal course western food.
Same my fav beatles on the wall. hee..
西门町 - became a ghost town, the tai feng cause alot of ppl to stay indoor, or rather stay at home. sigh.. suppose to be crowded.

Have my honeymoon trip to taiwan on 10th - 14th sept, Is my 1st taiwan trip. Here are the highlight.

臭豆腐 - my 1st attempt, always heard very nice but never try before. Can smell the smell from far man, even she cant stand my breathe.
This is the place where tourist buy their goodies here. buy 5 free 1 packet, 1 for 150NT, spent abt 2200 here, is abt SGD$100 OMG.

Sun zhong shan museum, the 2 guards standing on each side dont know for how long sia. Someone have to tidy his collar and try to make him feel relax or smth. Poor thing, must be sign 7 extras.

This is taiwan famous stone, where the queen face is being formed when the custer under the earth bring up to land and under many thousand years of rain n shine. They belived that the queen the land or smth wtf.

Famous 士林夜市 - few of the famous food there, see the quene u know which is nice le.

This one must try, is diff from SG pasa malam man.

Day 2: early in the morning 11.15am i received a call from kenny duke, say i have to shift my car, cos got vip coming, he demand tat i never leave my car key last nite but i was not told to leave my car key. He ask me to rush down asap to shift my car. knn i quicky bath and took a cab down, cost mi $10 bucks. i reached abt 1150am, then they say i no need to shift. wat the fuck knn!

angry near miss accident

Just now i was cruising on 1st lane, extreme right at PIE.
when suddenly 1 red corrolla SCW8250K , sway to the my left, n cut into my lane. obviously he didnt check bline spot, i horn him hard, but still he insist to cut into my lane. CCB
i applied E-brake real hard til my tyre skid, n let him cut in, if not his side will bang onto my side.. KNN

i keep horn him, high beam him, n went to his side, but he didnt offer to wave to say sorry, pretending nth happen. I high beam him n horn him afew times, he now change lane to 2nd lane.
i move to his side n ask him to stop, he still never notice me.. but he got a lady passager on his left tat saw mi ask him to stop. I overtake him, n apply brake until 40km/l, when the traffic flow was slow now, leaving a big cap in the middle of the expressway.

i no choice, let the stock red corrolla SCW8250K overtake mi, n i follow him.. i tail gate him closely.. i still horn n high beam him.. im sure he notice mi by now.. i drove to his side serveral times n signal hazard light, even shout till my throat sore, but still he wont stop, i drove to his left, n signal the lady, the lady still act blur.. KNN

Is not i being childish or wat.
1st) he nearly hit me, but i horn him, he still cut into my lane, (normally horn 1 time hard, he will not change his mind n wait to keep clear then change lane)

Had my internal wiring re-route, n rearrange, it is so messy, n will impose of wire shorting afraid the wire is overloading.
Anyway i went up a few audio shops, n they yayapapaya dont wan to do for me. In the end i went up to sim lim tower top of mscp, king kong audio, the boss help mi do re-wiring.

spent 2 days to complete, also install this camera link to my rear monitor.. hee...

Spotted this real VW van at eunos. I happen to come to this carpark, n saw this v nice van, 1st time i came never bring camera, but i placed a note on his windscreen, but he never reply me, kns! The next time i come over, the van realli staying over here, took a few shots.

Actually i was at the mpt event last last sunday, i was at the carpark opening my booth with marc, gabriel n kelvin. Then attracted alot of crowd, when this lady approach mi n ask if the beatles ride belong to mi n ask for my contact. She then introduce herself she from the Newpaper. She was impress n surprise of my car, n decided to take this up in her next article.

I received the call, she say she wan to feature any ride that look like mine, i was thinking, no one leh haa.. anyway i ask marc, mickey n alex come along.. think the article is abt life style hw youngster do their car into concept car, or transform into a homely look or smth..haa she said.

Ever since i change my tyre profile, (195-205) which is 2wks ago, i experience with full load behind, drive over a hump, i will feel my tyre hitting my fender. That is a very pain sound..cant stand it

Today, sat morn, went to forestadventure at Bedok Reservoir.
This is the 1st time in my life playing flying fox... wah, is cooool lo.. n exciting...
The flying fox is over the reservoir, which mean u r flying in the mid air, n reservoir is under u.
The most difficult obstacle is to cross to the other end by stepping 1 log at a time, the log is shaking lo..
If anyone reading here, got nth to do during the weekend, can form a team or friends to go and hav fun, i guarantee is fun. Ticket is adult $25.00

My car appear in this mth dec issue Carma mag, featuring the mpt final event, but they didnt write up much on the auto styling, more on the drag event. haa..
I got my rear bumper repair and stickers finally done up, spent abt 7hrs wait n paste.. all are claimed... but the paper work still in progressing... pls be dont get hit or hit ppl back, cos got alot of paper work and time wasted arghgh....:X

Bad day, accident on mon

I met a accident on mon morn 0730, on my way to work near my camp. When i came to a complete stop at a traffic light, this uncle try to squeeze from my left, unfortunate he hit my rear left bumper, my car suffer minor scratches and the left heart shape exhaust drop OMG! I can immediate feel the impact.

I get off my car n ask the uncle calmly. He say just claim his insurance lo, he answer very calm also, omg is an old uncle and riding a v old scooter. We exchanged details, n he said he doesnt hold a cell fone, i 1st reaction was, 'was like he is lying..' omg.. but maybe he is not lying.. anyway i got his NRIC no, and his licence plate noted down, and we left. I saw him turn into a small lane lead to a Cemetery or a farm.

I took half day off, n i drive over to the place he turned this morn. I saw many tombs on my right outside the window, v scarly :S. Ok i turn into a very deep lane, n i SAW his bike, he no. plate abit dented, omg is realli an old bike. I feel v bad to claim him man or ask $ from him, think he is a farmer n is a old uncle..

I report to IDAC and procceed to mr ng spray shop. The next day, i got my car back le, very happy, but i need to re-do my stickers haiz... very troublesome got so many paper work, n time wasted..

Korat(again) and bangkok trip 15-19nov

Attending ivan's wedding in korat, with so many close sec friends. Just touch down airport after 2hrs flight to bangkok, take another 3hrs ride up north thailand to korat (ok im very familiar with korat). finally we reach chaopaya hotel, i recommanded this hotel one.. ha..

Ivan bring us to this very cosy place call 'WANG MA CHA' in korat for dinner, its a old padi field with river view. Very romantic n coo sial.. very good ambient too..

Early morn the next day 6am we set off another 2hrs ride to ivan's wife place for the customary.

3rd day, we set off korat, 3hr+ drive to Bangkok, yeah finally, we check in the new Baiyoke Boutique hotel, very nice deco. The traffic was terrible in bangkok..

Feel like stealing the mario fig on the counter hahaa...

We have dinner at 1 of the jap restaurant at central world, is keith birthday... thanks for the dinner keith.. hee.. Is so difficult to find a table of 15 together man.. waited so long for our turn. haa..

Anyway today is the last day of event and result of the autostyling result/prize presentation.

Guess wat? i didnt win la, i got special award : Best creative. WTF no winning $.. arghgh.
The 1st in advance n 1st in novice is the bros, omg they r $3k richer.. their mum is very n proud of their sons man..
Finally get hold of 1 of the Super import babe - Jenny Chu to take pic with my car, she is in the rush can see.

DAy 2 of SIN in sg expo. Bro Zam came down to support mi n took the pic for mi, long time see bro.. is semi final judging today. The judge ask wat hav i change from last heat? omg... i only added curtains, n nth much..
If final is by public voting i think i wont lost lo...lolx :( Judging time: same old judges

Guess wat, they didnt announce my name when the final list is out. I approached leslie if i realli didnt got in final, he said 'ya, is judges decidsion'. I respect judges decidsion after all, n i left disappointed.
All others contestant console mi. Realli know alot of friends from other cars club through competitions..
As im waiting for bus, after awhile, leslie called up and say im in the final, and say it was miscalucation. WTF. But i wasnt happy, as if i approach him, and wanted him to make mi pull in the final. OMG, somemore my name is not announce thru the PA, the whole contestant know tat im not in the final, then wat if sat i compete in the final rd? ppl will think tat i was 'under table' in.
nevertheless, i wont win la..:(

Super import night EXPO'07

EVery contestant is given 0.5M surrounding of your car to deco, i think mine is the worst, i only cut heart shape n some flower paste on the floor. Very sad, my car is 1st car near the stage, everyone step n kick my deco and damage.. haiz.. :(

U see those carpet under the car, need to pay $100ea sia. i get my own one, i went to china town yesterda, but the shop sold out of my fabric le.. so sad, then my cloth is too short. knn :X

Volcano, flame. This is the best, he uses many prop sia.. corner with 4 volcano effect, n skeleton bones around. sure win ar... i got nth.. thumbs up for the effort.. :)

Jap style, with snow effect. nice

Spider theme, very creative.
I like this BMW theme, jap style w/samurai sword. It has a jap garden feel. VIP rush, very lounge feel.

Everything so last min, so busy with work, no time for competiton nowadays. Went for MPT autostyling competition yesterday, bloody hot weather man, i got sun burn arhghg..

Not forgetting race queen search.. too bad 'jolin' didnt win.. hee.. all look so young sia..

ok my turn to receive the prize, i came in 1st in Novice only. Should hav join profressional, only 1 car. haa if get 2nd also not bad waha.. :P

My new DIY Curtains

THanks for my gf for last min sewing of my lastest project. Too bored with my current curtains, n everyone's curtains r so the same, ever thought of changing a look. I've seen across k-style a lace n curve shape curtains and the lastest k-style featuring a ride with the design, so i decided to shop for the material.

1st:cut the design u wan
2nd: sew the railing hook ( can get the railing from mi haha)3rd: sew the white corner lace. done! Doest it look like malay curtains? commend pls...~!~

I wan to introduce the power of k-style old skool VW van. The whole interior is wrap to the same color theme. I get my ideas from here, n also from some jap mag.

Simple n nice?? cosy look? feel like home? This is the beach theme..

This flowerly top look very familiar and alike to mine. U can call girly or watever u like. haa.

K style steering wheel, side door also wrap with the same theme. White actually bring up more bright to ya car, but dash board has reflective pls take note if u realli wan to put white dash mat think twice, and white seats is hard to maintain. enjoy the pics~!~

Dont realli wan to do ice, but lastly finally up my ice last mth. ok i added just Amplifier: Rockford 2-002 and Subwoofer: Rockford P1S415, the speaker i used back my exsisting sony xplod 3-way speaker.

Phase1:I purposely make 2 holes on the sides to place my toys inside, so i decided to put my retro stuffs in it. then i realise the amp n the sub is too modern, n doesnt match retro theme. omg.

Phase2:I tinted the acrylic to yellow film to make it more oldies look, however the LEDs doent bright up the acrylic, n it appear green light (blue + yellow=green) haha omg. I bought the beatles figures from yahoo acution. hee.. very narak * thai cute This is how my booth goin to show in DEC issue HOTSTUFFs haiz.. haven finsih, very rush for the shoot. muahaha..

Too make it more retro, i ask UK to paste blue checkers on my board, and i customise an arcylic with 2 thin rod, to make it like a shelf. i placed some of my retro collection like the coin bank, oldies cig box, match box, disc and ashtray. I wanted to paste mosaic tiles on my booth, i already know where to buy tiles n paste pieces by pieces, but in the end i choose the easiler way - stickers. hee..
This is the DIY shelf im talking abt, previous one if u notice is smaller, now can put many stuffs haha.. all white n blue theme..
DIY TV cute curtains.. also ask UK to paste a *drawer lookalike with 2 cute flowers under the TV. Doesnt look like drawer??? with a korb too.. hee.. very cute.. i like this one.. the curtains can draw by the way..
Here i go Superimportnight final heats, last heat i placed 4th out of 7, kns.. haiz :(.. nvm, juz go for fun..

i know i cant win.. they dont appreciate it bo bian.. anyway mine is cheap DIY, is toking abt creative and innovative. Their cars r done by profesional workshop, so cant compare.. whaha..

Went for hotstuff photo shoot on tue, melissa from hotstuff arrange the meetup. i arrived kallang eariler at 3.30pm, hui qi is the designer today. There is 1 WV having his shoot first, i was told after his shot will be mine, he got 2 babes to pose for his car sia.. y i dont hav? :(

anyway i waited till 6pm the sunset then my turn.. after all is a gd experience. waiting nov issue.. stay tune.. hee..
